Esra Aktücar is a designer born and raised in the texture of Istanbul, deeply intertwined with art. Her interest in design began in childhood, initially manifesting through charcoal and oil paintings. Intensive pre-university studies paved her path to the Fashion and Textile Design Department of Işık University's Fine Arts Faculty, where she earned a scholarship with 100% success.

During her university years, Esra's journey intersected with carpet weaving. Carpets became not just floor coverings for her, but elements that imbued meaning into living spaces. Esra's attention to detail, from the texture of the yarn to the intricacies of patterns, transformed her passion into an art form that merges aesthetics and functionality within carpets.

Entering the professional carpet industry in 2013, Esra has since tirelessly pursued her work in the design world with an enduring passion. Her mastery of weaving and printing techniques has grown over the years, expanding beyond traditional weaving programs to experiment with various modern design software for carpet design.

Her perspective underscores the importance of carpets in creating a livable home, even when no other object is present. For her, a carpet signifies the essence of home.

With her innovative approach to carpet design and her fusion of art and aesthetics, Esra Aktücar continues her work unabated to this day.
